Your Questions Answered

We have tried to pre-empt our customers first questions about Divine Bathrooms. We hope you find this information useful. If you would like to know more about Divine Bathrooms please contact us on 3351 2355 or info@divinebathrooms.com.au. You can also check out our website at www.divinebathrooms.com.au

1: Do you have the appropriate builder’s licence and builder’s insurance?

Of course! Our Builders Licence number is 741086.  We also hold comprehensive builders insurance. Our Plumbing Lic number is 741086. Divine Bathroom's Lic is 118 9041.

2: Do you have references and photos of your previous work?

Absolutely.  As a first step, check out our website at www.divinebathrooms.com.au . On our testimonial page we feature two videos of recent customers. If you would like additional references just ask. We are happy to provide these.

You can also check-out our on-line gallery that includes photographs of our previous work.

3: Do you provide a warranty on your work?

Yes. Our bathrooms have a 7 year workmanship guarantee. In the unlikely event that a problem occurs due to our workmanship, we will rectify that problem at no cost to you.

4: How, when and why can the price on the contract change?

We provide a detailed quote and contract so you know exactly what your getting. We don’t want any surprises for our customers.

In a small number of cases, the original quote price can change. For example, a positive asbestos testing result means we would need to organise safe asbestos removal. Any changes to the contract need to be sighted and signed off as a variation by the customer. Rest assured we will not undertake any additional work without your consent.

Of course, the example provided above is the exception. Typically there is no need for a contract or pricing variation.

5: Is the start and finish date guaranteed? How long will it take?

10 to 20 days is the typical timeframe for a basic bathroom. This includes 10 working days to complete all work except the installation of the shower screen. The shower screen fitting can take an additional 5-10 days. The bathroom is usually functioning after 10 days, except for the shower screen. Your dedicated project manager will provide you with a construction timeframe.

We provide a start and finish date in your contract.

6: What is the specialty of the builder? Bathrooms or something else….

Divine Bathrooms specialises in bathrooms...nothing else!

7: Does the company do their own work (ie. have an in-house team) or use outside contractors?

Yes we do. We have a full-time in-house team of qualified tradesmen including tilers, plumbers, and carpenters.

A dedicated on-site project manager will coordinate all tradesmen from start to finish of your bathroom renovation.

8: When are you available?

Our availability of course varies. Like any business there are peaks and troughs in demand. We will however aim to meet your needs and discuss availability early on.

9: How long have you been doing renovations for?

For over 10 years, our group of companies have been doing bathroom renovations.

10: Will I have to move out of my home during the construction period?

No! If required, we can arrange a mobile bathroom

11. What type of property protection and clean up do you provide?

We know some tradesmen can be rough, showing little care and respect to your property. Unlike other companies, Divine Bathrooms does the following to ensure your property is protected and left in a clean & tidy state each day:

We discuss our property protection plan during our pre-construction meeting, making sure your happy with our approach. Typically we provide floor and wall protection in the areas we’re accessing

  • At the start and finish of your bathroom renovation we conduct a property inspection, taking notes and photos of the properties condition. You will sign-off on this report
  • Our project manager is responsible for checking the property is left ‘clean’ each day.

12: How and when are payments made?

We accept all major credit cards, cheques, cash and eftpos.

Our payment schedule is as follow:

  • 10% on signing the contract & full reimbursement for bathroom products purchased on your behalf
  • 40% once the existing bathroom has been demolished
  • 20% when waterproofing is complete
  • 25% once tiling is complete
  • 5% after the final customer inspection and ‘hand-over

13: Will I have to move out of my home during the construction period?

No! If required, we can arrange a mobile bathroom

14: What contract do you provide?

A standard Department of Fair Trading or Housing Institute Australia (HIA) contract for all work over the value of $3,900.

15: What will it cost?

The costs involved in a bathroom renovation can really be broken down into two categories:

  1. The labour costs (Builder, plumber, electrician, tiler etc)
  2. The fixtures and fittings (tiles, vanity, shower, tapware, etc)

A Remodelling bathroom renovation typically includes upgrading fittings, fixtures and tiles within the existing layout. This can be accomplished for $10,000 to $15,000 with careful product selection.

A Layout Alteration renovation often becomes necessary as lifestyles within the household change. These projects are generally more complex, often involving additional work such as electrics, plumbing and plastering. As a guide to budgeting, such bathroom renovations would start from $15,000.

From the start Divine Bathrooms will work towards designing a bathroom that meets your budget.
